Courtlands School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its pupils. We recognise that some children may be especially vulnerable to abuse and that children who are abused or neglected may find it difficult to develop a sense of worth and to view the world in a positive way. We will always take a considered and sensitive approach in order that we can support all our pupils and recognise that each pupil’s welfare is of paramount importance. Courtlands has a duty of care to safeguard and help protect children from potential harm and may make a referral to social care of other agencies where we have specific concerns.
The Courtlands' safeguarding is made up of: Mr Earnshaw (Designated Lead Child Protection Officer), Mrs Roe (Safeguarding Officer/Deputy Designated Child Protection Officer, Mrs Lawrence (Deputy Designated Child Protection Officer) and Mrs James (PSA).
At Courtlands we have the following policies available for parents/carers:
Child Protection Policy
Health and Safety Policy
Single Equality Scheme
