Charlotte and Matt are really pleased - they say I have suddenly discovered I am a Labrador and now love water. Before I was scared of the water and would not go in - now I can't leave it alone, especially if I am chasing a ball.
I went up to Saunton Sands to join in with the Fun on the Beach day organised be DHK. We tried to break the world record for the number of dogs sitting at the same time. We missed by about 7 dogs ..... doh - oh well, we will try again next year.
I just love to play with balls!
This week Charlotte has been doing lots and lots and lots of first aid training so I went to my friend's house Bear's house everyday which was fun but I am very tired because Bear runs a lot like me so we played all day. My family said I was very quiet every evening that was because I was too tired to get up to my usual mischief!
I love lying in the sun with my best friend!
We went to Cockington Village today for a walk - Charlotte and Matt had a coffee so Max and I had a rest. I was a good girl and played nicely with other dogs.
I have got a new toy. My family have been guessing how long it will last. I can't help it I love pulling the stuffing out of toys and leaving it all over the sitting room and garden. I don't really understand what the problem is - it is so much fun.
Humphrey the tortoise has come out of hibernation - it is really funny - he spends the winter in the fridge. That is so weird! He keeps trying to bite my feet which isn't very friendly. Charlotte now takes him to school in LOTC for the week so I see him there and then during the weekends and holidays he will be roaming the garden trying to chase me.
When I go on my morning walk, I love meeting my friends Wilbur and Ruby. I wish Charlotte would let me play with them - they are great fun.
I like to help the big people at school as well. This is me and Mr Bickle at the end of a busy week. He is one of my favourite friends. He calls me 'Five Bellies'; I don't know why. I do like my food, I suppose.
Charlotte says she now knows how Max feels! I think they both love me lying on top of them when they are asleep.
I haven't been into school for 2 days because Charlotte has been doing MORE safeguarding training; instead I have gone to my new best friend's house Bear. We have had so much fun playing - Bear is much younger than Max so has loads of energy like me. I am also looking forward to going back to school tomorrow because Courtney is helping Charlotte teach me a new trick - I am not sure what they want but they are finding it highly amusing!
I think Harry thinks I am a baby! I do like being picked up and cuddled. My favourite place is on Charlotte's bed when Matthew isn't looking - shhhhh don't tell him!
Charlotte had all day training today so instead of going to school I went to my friend's house Bear. We had a lovely walk in the morning and then I spent the rest of the day playing with Bear who is a black Labrador like me but a bit older but like Max really kind and gentle.
Me showing Gail how I bow, weave and shake paw!
Charlotte and I have been having one to one sessions with a very nice lady called Gail. She is training Charlotte to show me how to become a school therapy dog - apparently I was very good ....... Charlotte could of done better though (haha!).
I wonder what else I could also carry in my mouth!
I am getting really clever at carrying more than one thing - it is useful when you don't have any hands like humans!
My day at DHK headquarters
It is official - I am now in the DHK Puppy Programme. Charlotte and I went up to North Devon last week to see Tracey. We did lots of training and I made friends with Vadar (the big dog) and Winter and we were allowed to have some play time. I tried to listen to Charlotte but sometimes playing just seemed far more fun!
Hey what a bonus - we got an extra day at home today because there was no water at school - I was a bit sad because I couldn't see my school friends but never mind I can keep Max company for the day - I bet he is really pleased about that!
Oops I don't think I am in my home family's good books - I made a bit of a mess! Ben says I am a cereal killer - I think that is a play on words - Charlotte thought it was funny - I didn't understand what was so funny. And do you know what - I offered to clean it up for them but they wouldn't let me - something do to with chocolate being in the cereal and that it would be bad for me.
Happy, happy, happy days!
I went to the beach again.......boy it was windy. I met up with some friends from the puppy party at Filham vets. We had great fun, chasing each other, wrestling and digging. While we were playing Matt and my friend Ellis built towers with the stones. I was so tired after I slept all afternoon.
My most favourite friend in the world xxxxxxx
I really really love my Max. Charlotte says she is not so sure what he thinks of me - probably loves me but thinks I am a pesky pup! He lets me surf on his back, jump over him, box his muzzle, catch his tail and even eat his food and he never tells me off - he must adore me! Charlotte says that Max should tell me off sometimes to teach me some manners. I hope I am as gentle and kind as him when I am older.
Today I met another one of my home family boys - Harry. He is another big person but very gentle and kind. We went to Exeter Christmas market but as it was a lot of walking, Harry carried me some of the way. Charlotte says I am too heavy for her to carry now! I also met a labradoodle at the market who though he was huge was also gentle so we had a play for a while. I liked the market because the nice humans drop food for me to hoover up! Charlotte said I was a really good girl.
My first time at the beach
I had a brilliant Saturday - I went to the beach for the first time with two other black labs; Max, of course and Heather. I was a little scared at first because it was so new and really really windy so I tried to get Charlotte to pick me up but she said I needed to get my big girls pants on and get on with it! So I did and then realised how much fun the beach is- I started running around in and out of the sea, digging and barking - Charlotte is not so happy about that one!
Still keeping up with my jobs in the home - I am very good at doing the pre-wash. Here I am cleaning the chicken pan.................yum, yum!
Puppy Fun! It looks like we are being aggressive but I promise we are not; we are just playing and do not hurt each other!
Today I went to one of my puppy classes at my vets. It is great fun - I have my favourites - Maui and Oatie. We are such good friends that we are going to all go to the beach together at the end of November. Charlotte said I was a little naughty because instead of telling her I needed to go out, I did a wee on the floor - oops! I was having so much fun!
I am now 12 weeks old and loving life!
I am going to try to do my blog differently and have the newest first - apparently it is how I should of done it in the first place - I am still learning, I guess!
